Ireland Sleeps 30
Kildare Palladian Mansion – WD01 Kildare, Ireland
When going into Kildare, guests can have a meal out at Harte’s Bar & Grill, which has amazing steak.
For a special occasion, guests can go to The Hanged Man.
It is magical to sit outside at dusk with a glass of wine and look out into the hills of Ireland.
Kildare Palladian Mansion is a world apart. Conveniently located just 4 kms from the nearest town and close to the N7 and N9, it is still the most secluded and exclusive oasis imaginable.
Set in 8 acres of private grounds, this Georgian property has been lovingly restored, boasting luxury accommodations and spacious dining rooms. Steeped in history as one the largest Georgian houses in Kildare, visitors will be hard pressed to find another setting as elegant and exclusive.
Approached via a long tree-lined avenue, Kildare Palladian Mansion was built in 1709 by Thomas Burgh and remained the home of his descendants for 200 years.
The house has been extensively restored, retaining many of its original period features and charm. The main reception rooms are both grand and imposing with fine plaster work ceilings, marble fireplaces and mahogany doors with gilded handles.
The website prices are based on groups of up to 30 in 15 bedrooms but a 25% discount applies for groups of up to 16 in the 8 first floor bedrooms.
Please enquire for full package details
Interior & Grounds
The house has 15 bedrooms, all large with en-suite bathrooms. It is possible to hire the house for smaller groups of up to 16 at a discounted rate. Please enquire.
Each room is immaculately and tastefully decorated with personally selected designer fabrics and elegant wood furnishings, with every modern convenience you could require.
The bedrooms have a mixture of four poster and sleigh beds. While each room is unique in its décor and character features they reflect the same world class standards, with many offering wonderful views over the grounds. Each room leads through to its own spacious en-suite bathroom.
The house stands in a scenic location on the banks of the River Barrow within easy reach of Dublin City (approximately one hour’s drive via the N7).
There are racecourses at Naas, Punchestown and the Curragh, the centre of the Irish racing and breeding industry.
The River Barrow is a popular cruising river that also links up with the River Shannon cruising system via the Grand Canal. It runs by the bottom of the garden.
There are championship golf courses at Mount Juliet, The K-Club, The Heritage and Mount Wolseley.
